Get to know the Bee Happy Artisan and Farmer Gal

Hi! I'm Tilisa,
creative founder of
Bee Happy

A Farmer Gal at heart, I spend my days grateful to God to be living the life of my dreams as a gardener, bee keeper, crazy chicken lady, soap & candle maker, wife, homeschooling mom, business owner, speaker and ministry leader - not necessarily in that order. . .

I fell in love with nature as a young child - I marveled at the beauty of  flowers and plants; the sounds of birds and rushing water; the busyness of bees and butterflies; and the quiet solitude that can be found in just being outside marveling at nature. I began making natural products in my kitchen many years ago. I love taking what I grow in my garden and using them in soaps, candles, lotions, recipes, etc. One day I had a desire to have my own honey, the love and passion for bee keeping began. Little did I know how much there is to learn, can go wrong and how scary it is to open a hive with lots of mad bees trying to sting you - ha ha!

I want to thank you for supporting my growing, home-based business - I can't do this without your support, encouragement and appreciation of the products I make. I personally hand-pour each candle, craft soap and skin care products in small batches, spin and bottle our own honey; and care about providing an outstanding product that is not harmful to us or our environment.

Drop me a line - I would love to hear from you!

And... remember to always... Bee Happy - Bee Natural - Bee You!

We Proudly Support...

A portion of every sale goes to support Bees 4 Vets - a local non-profit organization whose mission is to assist military veterans and first responders living with PTSD  through beekeeping experiences in the local community; combining outdoor activity, education and community outreach to create an environment of support and training where veterans and first responders can develop the interest and skills necessary to participate in beekeeping as a vocation or hobby. Beekeeping can be helpful for those suffering from PTSD and/or TBI as it teaches “mindfulness” or “staying in the moment”. Beekeeping has been known to be a good vocation or hobby for disabled veterans since at least the end of World War I.

Additionally, as a member of the Norther Nevada Beekeepers Association, we support our local efforts for support and education on bees and beekeeping. Personally, we also strive to do our part in educating our community with our 'Save The Bees' campaign. Contact Tilisa to learn more about this program or speak to your group.
